I read the sticky, and the threads. I believe them, and I believe I understand that there is a family exemption for off roster interstate transfer. However, is there an official California DOJ link stating this? I can't find it in the sticky, or anywhere else. I'm having an argument with the guy at the gun store, and he needs to "see it in writing".

When you read the entire article you will get to a part that says "call the FFL beforehand" not trying to be a jerk, but most FFLs don't understand the laws and if you're in there store demanding something they probably aren't in a good mood to understand or help you out.
But, nonetheless here is the "sticky wiki" you were looking for.Last edited by acespawnshop; 11-15-2017, 10:32 AM.Interstate Transfers $100 (DROS included with the price)

There is an exemption for intrafamilial transfers in the CA PC. That is in writing. Also, you can call the CA DOJ and they will tell FFLs how to do it.Kemasa.

I talked to the DOJ, they told me to have mom/dad write a letter, then DROS it as exempt and put the letter in the packet, but NO I have not seen it in writing. Probably never will.I read the sticky, and the threads. I believe them, and I believe I understand that there is a family exemption for off roster interstate transfer.
