    Am I missing something?

So I submitted a DROS and the last number, which is the transaction for the day, is over 9000. High numbers are often around 2-3k and in really high volume around 4k.

WOW! That's huge. I wonder if it never reset from yesterday. Have you checked to see if the prefix digits are the same from today and yesterday? I remember seeing around December 10-15th last year numbers in the 5000's to 6000's but that was around 6:00pm

Based on the first number, it is correct for today.

I have to wonder if the number was not somehow reset for the last couple of days, but I did not submit any DROS the last couple of days as I was busy with other things. If you have any, you might check.

I decided to ask about it since it seems strange and it is gets stranger. The person at the DES could not look up the DROS that I gave them. I could though.

It must be something like that or a system glitch that is not resetting the numbers each day. Maybe they don't want us to see the totals anymore? I wouldn't put it past the DOJ.

The person that I talked to did not have a clue and said that she would contact me, but so far nothing. It does sound like the count is not being reset, which means that if they don't fix it soon, then the number will overflow. It has to have been going on for several days.

As I said, the person at the DES could not look up the DROS number, which is likely to be a serious problem.

I heard back from the DOJ and was told that there is no problem. Then again, the person said that she can't look and see if there are actually that many DROS being submitted. She said that if FFLs are still seeing high numbers, they can call and report it, but that the number is reset at midnight every night and according to the tech people there isn't any problems.

I wonder how high the number can go before the system eats itself.

It's not resetting. There is no way there has been over 12000 guns sold this morning.

This is probably intentional so we can no longer see the daily totals. As long as they keep updating the daily prefix, the final five can go all the way to 99999 and recycle to 00000.

                          Just a theory.

I was hoping one of more affluent members was going to step up and take credit for 11000 purchases this morning.
