    Upcoming bulk ammo sales

The few gun shops I have been in lately all have their own take on the upcoming ammo sale requirements.

    1. What will be the process? Associated fees, maximum orders allowed, etc.
    2. Does having a valid C&R FFL 03 and COE void you from having to go through an FFL 01 to purchase ammo?
    3. What type of license (if any) is required to have ammo shipped directly to a non FFL 01 dealer? Can it be delivered directly to an FFL 03 with COE?
    4. If ammo can be shipped directly to An FFL 03 is it for personally use only or can they sale to others who meet the minimal requirements (provide valid ammo card, pay fee, etc.)
    5. What type of license will be required for an individual to receive and sale ammo in CA?

    1. Don't know. The only fee I recall being in the PC was $10 transfer fee. Forgot if that was a specific scenario or not
    2. Yes, assuming you can find someone to ship to you
    3. Ammo Vendor or FFL03+COE, possible just FFL03 too (I forgot on that piece)
    4. Personal use, otherwise, you should have a vendor ammunition license. I'm assuming you could sell to others, but would have to follow the new ammo transfer requirements which I don't recall what they are. Might have to go to a dealer except for some limited conditions.
    5. Well if you want to sell ammo you are either an FFL or Ammunition Vendor. I'm assuming you need your state resellers license, business license (or equivalent for where you live), potentially local firearms license, COE, Ammunition Vendor license or FFL+DOJ dealer licenses.

A lot of your questions are still being worked out by DOJ. They advise that the reg's should be posted to dealers sometime in Nov/Dec.

Has DOJ started processing ammo vendor licenses? I remember a notice a bit back but don't recall if it was just a notice or if they were talking apps.

I have customers asking what our prices and policies will be for receiving mail order ammo for our customers. LOL, I hate telling them we have no idea as we are still waiting for DOJ to tell us what the heck is going on.
