PPT friendly FFL around Stockton

Hi FFLs:
I'm in Sacramento, but will be doing a PPT in the Stockton area on two handguns to accommodate the other person. I'm hoping to find one that does not require extra forms (seem to ask for duplicate info on a form of their own making) and that does not require the non-refundable purchase of those little cable locks (I have a safe and signed the affidavit in the past).

If you are, or know of, an FFL around Stockton that fits that description. lease let me know.

If I'm wrong in asking that here, let me know that too.

Unless I'm reading the CA AGs page wrong, I'm not sure that's correct...see item #2

Federal law requires a lock with a handgun.

I guess some of the FFLs I've used have been doing it wrong then.

Go to Stockton Gun Exchange for your PPT. I have done several there and have not had to fill out any extra forms.
I would avoid Outdoor Sportsman for PPTs......

Concerning locks....

What I have done in the past is to bring in my own locks still in the package (come on, we all have a bunch of them). As a seller, you can "provide" them with the gun, or you can give them to the seller so he can provide them himself.

That has worked for me at some FFLs and not others. The last time I bought a PPT handgun at Stockton Gun Exchange, there was no mention of a lock at all.....we did the paperwork, I picked up the gun after the 10 days....easy peasy.

Hope that doesn't get them into trouble.....about 1/2 of the FFLs I have dealt with in pistols haven't bothered with locks at all.
