Cruel to be kind, but in the right measure.

Your location is apartment. Get a signed letter from your landlord or manager that you are allowed to run a home based firearms business from your apartment. Get a business license and letter from your local government saying you have permission to run this business from your apartment. Then send in your application.

Before your ATF interview, the ATF will check these things. If any is a no, you will not get approved for a FFL.

no, i understand comletely, which is why i'm asking questions BEFORE i do anything. i've been involved in internet businesses and commerce b4 so i just didn't know if there was a distinction between a mailing address and a business address. for instance, if no business is taking place at the mailing address and everything is in the "cloud" it changes things for other types of business, so it was just a questions.....and i do appreciate the candor. I know the DOJ reads the board.......was even hoping an agent would respond. i want everything done by the book......but since i can't seem to find "the book" this is the next best thing for noobs

happy 4th of July to everyone and their families

Physical location is residence. No other option. You will also need to get a business license - which will mean the city may not allow it. Step one should be a sit down with your landlord.

agreed. i'll probably get a house b4 i do that then, since i have a feeling they will say no, even if i don't have physical customers. but i'll give it a shot.
