I've been doing a few USPS shipments for a client. My local PO has been super helpful and accommodating. I't dawned on me after I did the first shipment with them that they taped Form 1508, Statement by Shipper of Firearms, to the outside of the package.
The next time I came in with one to ship I told them there can't be anything on the outside of the package that indicates it contains a firearm. I suggested they contact a supervisor to find out what they are supposed to do with the 1508. For the second package they still including it on the box, but not where the word "Firearm" showed.
The third time I shipped, they said they never got an answer on what to do with Form 1508, so they started a file for them (Me actually -- I always wanted to be in a federal file somewhere)
I will have one more to ship soon and I'd like to know if any of you sage FFLs know what USPS is supposed to do with Form 1508?
Thanks
