Making my Sig MCX legal for sale

Thanks for your help with this question:

I have a Sig MCX that I bought late last year, and was compliant with 2016 law (including 2016 edition bullet button).

If I add and properly install the 2017 version Patriot Mag Release (https://www.bulletbutton.com/product-p/mpxpmr.htm), is the rifle then compliant for sale without further modification?

I think you will find a lot of dealers not willing to transfer rifles with any of the new "locks". With to much room for interpretation and it being our business on the line it just is not worth it. You could do featureless.

Sure, but a plain old fashioned grip wrap is much cheaper and easier to install.

Same, will transfer it as a receiver only though.

We are all waiting for the green light on these from the same group of attorneys.

So if I hear you properly, skip the new style button, wrap the grip and remove the flash hider to make it featureless, and I am good to go?

I have thought about that, my primary concern was that it might be harder to find a FFL willing to transfer. If that is not the case, it is by far the easiest answer.

Almost any FFL will transfer a lower.
