    DP12 SHOTGUN LEO ONLY

so. DOJ and I had a talk today about the DP12 shotgun. Their view is it is a high capacity magazine shotgun and is LEO sale only. KelTec's double feed seems ok as it has a tube lever to change mag tubes, the DP12 doesnt. Now I dont know what this may mean to current owners of these guns..they said they arent an assault weapon but the magazine capacity makes them a LEO only shotgun. Not sure if they will post a bulletin or any type of public comment to FFL's. Just a fyi if you own one. I know some people will say yeah..whatever..Im just relaying what I was told..

That is why we had to pull them. When I called Standard Mfg to ask if they planned on fighting the DOJ over it they said no they were just going to make a ten round version. I am starting to see them know. I would assume Standard would be able to retro fit a DP12 to 10 rounds as they already have the technology. And just a quick clarification. They declared it a high capacity magazine not an assault weapon. Hence not needing a letter for LEO purchase.

Ahh But those regs were pulled by the DOJ that stated this info. Since it is highly ambiguous, I see the DP12, until officially notified in writing by the DOJ, as legal. It's a PUMP shotgun!! PERIOD and not regulated under any law at this point. Not Semi Auto, Not Detachable magazine, Same for the UTS-15.. . . . . . .

That's great except the manufacturer agreed with them and is making a CA version to comply

COMPLYING with them, and AGREEING with them. Two totally different things.
