    Olympic Exempt Pistols non-AWs?

I have a customer looking at the Benelli 95 Atlanta. From this:

it looks like it has a detachable magazine outside of the magwell. Am I missing something or is this an AW still?

See this ad here in the market place where one was sold and I didn't see anything about it being fixed mag:

    Found this:

Penal Code sections 32105 and 30515, subdivision (c)(2), exempt certain qualifying competitive Olympic pistols from the unsafe handgun provisions of Penal Code section 31910 and the assault weapon provisions of Penal Code sections 30510 and 30515. In addition to pistols specified in the statutes, the Department of Justice (DOJ) is authorized to exempt pistols based on recommendations from USA Shooting, the national governing body for international shooting competition in the United States.

    Not sure if still current.

If they're on the list, they're Roster AND AWB exempt.

      Cool pistol...
You will never, in your life, have a chance like this again.
If I were you, I would not pass this up. I would not let this go by...this is rare.
      Come on...what harm??

I agree with Joefrank, if it's on the Olympic exempt list...all is good. I just bought a model 41 from s&w the same way, I had no issues.

Make "Assault Weapon" shooting an Olympic sport!

I have often thought that 3 gun shooters should have its own exemption list
