    Electronic bound book

I tried searching but most the threads are older. Looking for your experience with the various bound book programs. And recommendations. Ideally it would print a label for all firearms that come in and out. Looking to take the slow time as an opportunity to update the shop. Also point of sale suggestions would be great. My quickbooks 2008 point of sale is on its last legs.

I am looking at FFL Boss but they do not have a POS system integrated yet. I do like the digital 4473 and they just launched digital signature also.

Our pawn system does it, it would require that we printed on legal size paper and our inspector still wants a hard copy of the book. So we just do the bound one from amazon and use the pawnmaster one as our backup.

If you use an electronic book you can't use a "bound book" per ATF regulations

I guess you can print copies but ATF made it clear that you choose one way or the other.

Our inspector still wants a hard copy when they arrive. It would require us to buy a new printer that does legal size, something that we do not use at all. So we do the computer as a cross reference for ourselves and use the bound book for when they have inspections. Its a checks and balances system for us also.

It depends on what is official.

If the official is a hard copy bound book, I doubt that there is any law or regulation that says that you can't also keep track of it electronically, but that would be meaningless and ignored.

We run Cervelle and is a great POS system, highly recommend. Their prices are very reasonable too.
