If you are a bay area dealer please PM me. I have a name of someone allegedly related to our robbery/burglary in November 2016. I want to provide you that name so you can check your records as it is possible they could be casing your establishment as well.

I am not going to post publicly as this is related to an ongoing case.

I would have to totally agree. Until the person in question is arrested and charged you run the risk of a libel or slander legal suit if in fact the person turns out to be innocent... Just a thought.

And if the person is guilty and something can be done to stop the harm to others?

If it is done only by voice, then it would be really hard to prove anything, much less harm.

That's also assuming we're accusing someone of something. We are not. This is more of "it's possible". Take that for what you will. If one is not too paranoid then simply ignore the post. I also just added another word to my OP to try and clarify.

Can I assume that the police refuse to do anything with the name?

If they have done a transfer at another FFL, then there would be a record of it by means of the DROS, so the CA DOJ could determine which FFLs the person has been to.

Perhaps this is more than what you would want to discuss though.
