    Shotgun returned to manufacturer.

    Hi,
I never done it before hence the question. At the beginning of 2016 i purchased a semi-auto hunting shotgun.
The gun gave ghost after less than 200 rounds for multiple problems. I returned the gun to the manufacturer and it was declared "Unable to Repair".

This gun per the new law is registered to me and on my name and as government or whoever they are concerned they think i have this gun in my possession.

The question is, what should i do now and how to remove this gun from my records?

    Thank you

You can fill out the no longer in possession of form through the DOJ website. But from what I hear that never really removes anything from the AFS.

      Done,
      Thank you.
I'll call them in a month to verify if it was removed. They provide a phone number.

They should send you a letter stating XYZ firearm was removed from your AFS report.

Hope it works and in 5-10 years when all firearms will be prohibited in CA under Newsom's rule, no LEOs come to confiscate my long gone shotgun ....

Gavin Newsom is like Negan on the Walking Dead. He's going to take all your guns.
