    CZ and CAI imports

Found this old thread and wanted clarification because I got one of these today before I tell my customer its off roster. The CZ 83 imported by CAI is not the model that's listed on the roster.

Here is the link for the gun he purchased.

Thanks for the input and feedback.

I'm guessing off roster. All the 83s we've transferred were not imported.

That is an interesting question. CZ-USA is listed as the manufacturer, they are also an importer and it lists the name "Ceska Zbrojovka Fox", which is the firearm you have shows that, then perhaps it is.

The one we have shows CAI inscribed on the frame. So wouldn't it have to be dros'd as a CAI? And CAI isn't on the roster

Below are pictures, the first is the CZ pistol from AIM, the second is the Mfg. Model listed on roster 01301. The pistol sent to us has a noticeably different trigger guard and is not the same as the 01301 AS TESTED by the DOJ.

CAI is an importer, not the manufacturer, so I doubt that it would ever be listed under the importer. This is just one of the problems with the certified list.

Sounds like a different firearm, so it would not be on the certified list. I am not sure of how it is possible to know unless you do a lot of investigation and know that you need to do that.
