**THEY FIXED IT

So we cannot have CFLC letters generated or access the DES system because it says:

Restriction Code: CFDI. The options available for this dealership are currently restricted. Please have the Certificate of Eligibility holder contact the DES Customer Support Center for more information.

COE Licensee status is not active.

We have our new COEs, they expire September 2017. We physically have the copies.

I called DES and they can't help.

We have been trying to reach the person who handles the COE but have only been able to leave messages.

Any help?

OK so I got someone to give an answer. Our COE is pending due to LFL (local firearms license). We have this and was renewed on time and we have proof of fax sent to the DOJ over 2 weeks ago. We are now sending it again via email.

DOJ is telling us it can take 5-10 BUSINESS DAYS to get this corrected? This is their internal error, not ours. Now they basically shut us down for 5-10 business days?

This happened once to one of our sister shops. They were able to get back online within a few hours after pestering that phone number and getting somebody who would accept an emailed .pdf of the business license.

Issue is ONE very nice and overworked lady handles all COEs. Actually getting her on the phone can be a challenge.

Frustrating because you can't get anyone on the phone. I know staff is very limited and entire departments consist of one person to process everyone. Just hurts when you have someone sitting there and you login and nothing works.

Also makes you crap yourself!

I renewed my CFD in early December. Sent in all the necessary paperwork. I got the letter back Dec 21 but the local business license expiration date still showed 12/31/16. Four calls and four messages later, no response whatsoever. Finally, faxed the local license in with a cover page asking that my CFD letter be updated. Just got the new one last week.
