Olympic Pistol Exemption Online Purchase Question

I am interested in purchasing a used S&W Model 41 online from an out of state private party seller. This is not on the roster but is on the Olympic competition exemption list. Assuming it is clearly marked as a Model 41 and is shipped to an FFL, should this be fairly straightforward, or is anything I need to watch out for so I don't hit a snag with the FFL?

I thought so. I am just a little nervous about the Olympic exemption having not done this before.

Talk to your FFL first to make sure they understand.

+1 - this is all you can do really. Anything advice info we give here is irrelevant if the FFL you go to doesn't understand the situation.

Of course, you are right, and I appreciate the advice. I will talk to my FFL. One of the problems is that my FFL actually is a high volume store, and the answers may depend on which particular person I am speaking with. But yes, I'll do this (multiple times, to compare answers).
