Need Nor-Cal FFL

Anyone know of, or is, a FFL in the Redding/Chico area that is familiar with completing an interstate intra-familiar transfer? Closest I have found is in Lincoln, and so far everyone I have tried in Redding has just said to print the form and send to DOJ.

Pacific Outfitters in Eureka will do it. They are about 3 hours from Redding.

The only problem with just sending in the form is that you would be documenting that you violated Federal law since it is illegal to transfer a firearm between residents of two different states without going through a FFL.

While you might get away with it, do you want to take that chance?

No, I'm wanting to do so in accordance with the law. That's why this post for assistance finding a ffl that understands. We will make the drive if need be, but would rather not.

If you have time explain it them and they might work with you on it. I gave my local place like 3 months notice and had to go though all the hoops. First it was just send the paperwork it. Then it was no he can't personally bring it he has to ship it. Finally it was all worked out. Just because they don't know the process doesn't mean they aren't willing to learn it.

Tried that, was told that was only if shipped. If hand delivered, non issue. Pretty much told, I'm the ffl and know my job.

If the FFL calls the CA DOJ, they will actually tell them how to do it.

There is no difference if it is shipped or hand delivered, it is delivered just the same.
