    Why do you hate us?

5' box filled to the brim with packing peanuts, disassembled firearm, parts and accessories.

Why? What did we ever do to you .

Took us over 45 minutes and now have a disaster to clean up. All parts were wrapped in an entire roll of saran wrap.

If you're asking why many of us hate FFL's that could be a long list. (lol) I hate the peanuts too.

I finally found a use for those, (the non-biodegradable ones). They work great in the bottom of potted plant pots. Lighter than broken pottery or rocks and keep the dirt in and drains the water well.

      Otherwise they are a PITA.

Sorry, but the worst I have heard of was insulation, so anything else does not seem like much.

Those non-degradable peanuts kill unicorns and can rip rainbows out of the sky if they go airborne.

For some reason there is always high entertainment in the way people ship guns and gun stuff. I received a C&R SKS in the mail from a private party and noticed immediately that the box was WAY too heavy.

Turns out that to ensure safe travels, the seller encased the plastic wrapped rifle in a spray foam type stuff that hardens up. Similar to the spray insulation type stuff. And all of that was packed in peanuts like the OP shows in post 1.
I had to literally chisel the rifle out of the hard foam encasement which took all day. FML.

I love boxes like the Op got. One big item and a couple little tiny springs in an even smaller zip lock baggie. You have to dump the entire box to find the little zip lock baggie. When you dump it the stuff never makes it into the garbage can it ends up all over the kitchen floor.

How about this one. We had a dealer disassemble 2 30 round mags to be "compliant" and they were in a box full of peanuts just tossed in there. SO many issues here I cant even begin.

I had a friend receive a gun part wrapped up in a sanitary napkin. I have wrapped up stuff for difficult customers in a gay/transsexual Spanish language magazine I found for free in a newsstand. There was an extensive thread about this stuff this year on the C&R subforum.

It is common on ebay to say your items ship from a smoke and pet free home. I have received parcels that absolutely reek of heavy cigarette smoke. I know FFL's love when they receive guns with no idea of who they are for and scant info on who they came from.

On the flip side we do get a lots of CFLC's from an online vendor who we will not name that smells of ladies perfume and roses. I'm not kidding and this was not a one time incident. Its the same company every time and we joke about it each time a package from them shows up.

My customers must never order from them...or my wife doesn't tell me about that one... the cigar/cigarette smoke is the worst... I don't smoke so I have no idea how much smoke must be in the room for the box to be reeking of smoke even before we bust open the tape.. Fortunately, the firearms don't retain the odor..just the packing material..
