    Options for FFL issues

So lets with the beginning. I thought I had secured an FFL way back in August to receive my AK receivers from Childers. Anyone who has ordered from Childers knows they take forever and a day.

Well they showed up at said FFL who agreed to take them about 3 weeks ago but instead of getting a message saying they arrived come do the paper work I got an email from my FFL saying he was closing shop to transfers until Jan 2 for family.... fine. I locate a new FFL who will take them and give my "old" FFL a $90 check to ship them 5 miles down the road (since it took me a day to find a new FFL and he had to log them in)... It's now been over a week after acknowledging receiving the check yet not cashed it.

What recourse or options do I have? I have a bad feeling he's just holding on to them and I've tried to be polite an understanding this whole time.... Am I just screwed and at his mercy?

First question is have you contacted that other FFL to see if the first FFL sent the firearms to him yet?

Have you called the first FFL to ask what the status is? Has the shop closed completely or is it that they just stopped doing transfers? Expand on your OP and we can provide more input.

Thanks for your response. Just contacted them earlier and waiting for response. He just stopped doing transfers for the time being to spend more time with the familiy from my understanding, he is a part time FFL.
