    DROS a Barreled PS90 Receiver?

A dealer to whom we shipped a barreled PS90 receiver is claiming that it is not possible to DROS this in the DES system. How would you guys handle a transaction like this? Thanks.

      Sounds like a receiver.

Did they say why? Perhaps they don't know how to DROS receivers or something and they might be able to be educated.

He is under the impression that since it has a barrel attached, he cannot use the entry for a receiver since barrel length is not available when receiver is selected. I will refer him to this thread for your kind education..

That sounds like a problem for the CA DOJ or not. If it is a receiver and the DROS does not allow for an entry about specific details, then either they don't want the info or have not thought about it.

If you had a stripped AR lower receiver with a complete upper attached, including a barrel, then what would it be? It is not a finished firearm and it is not complete with parts missing to make it function, so it sounds like a receiver, but you can't put a barrel length on it, the same with other receivers.

There are other examples as well. I am not sure why the barrel length is required in the first place.

You can ask that other dealer how he would DROS:
            A barreled AK receiver
            A barreled Remington 700 receiver
            A barreled PTR-91/HK-94 receiver

He might be worried because it's a PS90 and thinking it's weird.

Exactly you would just dros it as a receiver because if you remove the upper it's just a stripped receiver
