    Shipping within California Clarification

Hello all! I am looking to purchase my first handgun! I found someone selling a used handgun who lives in Sacramento...unfortunately I live about 3 hours away. He said he is a 'Private seller with a valid FFL'. Said that he can ship the handgun to my local FFL dealer to complete the transfer since he said he would include a copy of his drivers license and his FFL. Since this is a USED handgun that is not on the current CA roster, I thought shipping it anywhere was illegal and the transfer could only be done in person at an FFL dealer. I spoke to two FFL dealers in my area, one said it is totally fine as long as it is shipped to an FFL dealer with info faxed over....and the other said is't legal to do so.....btw the gun is a CZ-75b 'Cold War' edition. So I'm reaching out on here for clarification...I don't want to do anything illegal or lose out on money If I'm not going to be getting my handgun cleanly. Thank you!

If the handgun is not on the roster, is not exempt and you are not exempt, it can not be transferred. Used makes no difference. If the firearm is a C&R, then it would be exempt.

It would have to be done as a CA PPT where both parties go to the same FFL.

There are some CZ-75 B versions on the roster.

You are wrong. If the handgun is not on the roster and is not exempt (single action, C&R), then is can not be transferred to a person who is not exempt (LEO), so selling it to a FFL is pointless.
