    Multiple firearms on same DROS

Probably been asked a bunch of times, but my google fu isn't cooperating tonight.

I understand multiple firearms (rifle or pistol, not both) can go on a DROS form, but is there a $25 fee for each firearm or $25 for all or something differrent?

One single $25 DROS fee for all guns, and the extra $10 per gun fee only applies to PPT firearms. Some FFLs may charge more even for guns from their own inventory, but none I ever have or will set foot in. And I have been to a lot of FFLs.

You can mix and match PPT with dealer inventory or dealer transfer firearms on a single DROS, mix and match handguns and long guns etc.

You could buy 20 receivers from dealer inventory and only pay one $25 fee.

Sigh, this is like Kemasa's "second proof of residency" issue that everyone says that I'm trying to put to bed finally.

You can't put multiple firearms on 1 DROS. There are separate DROS for each firearm. Its that you are only charged the $25 fee once. You can put multiple firearms on a 4473. And you can purchase, however way that is, multiple firearms at once, in compliance with state laws.

But I cringe when I hear this, you have 1 DROS for each firearm, you simply do not pay multiple times for them.

1 DROS per serialized firearm BUT you can submit several for the same person as long as you dont log out. Its still 25 for all. Like Ace said..eazy peezyx

Which is why I am careful to use the phrase "DROS fee'. And for the customer, like OP, the inside baseball/shop talk doesn't matter. What matters when a question like this is asked by a customer, is how many times he has to pay. In fact that was the exact question.

That he has to sign a form for each or thumbprint for each, isn't even on the radar. 99% of the customers will never see the DROS screen on a computer, nor have any idea what is taking place at the keyboard.

When I order a basket of fries, I don't care about the details; how many fries are in the little container or what goes into making it, is of no import.

But as a professor of the art of OCD myself, I admire your attention to detail

Its not so much being nit picky as it is I have had customers who remember the good ole days of pre 2014 who still think you can just put X number of firearms on the same DROS.
