Problems with ATF server or DOJ FUD

So we had to ship a gun inside California today and found out our FFL on the CFLC site was out of date. No problem entered the updated infomation and hit enter. We got an error message, tried a different computer got the same thing.

We called DOJ for help and according to them the ATF server has ben corupted and no FFL can be updated thus no shipping for me inside California. They have no ETA of when this will be fixed.

I have no idea why a problem with a ATF server would keep me from updating my information on the DOJ server. Something seems fishy here.

Can you guys pull CFLC letters right now? Maybe it's just a problem for those of us who had to update our license?

No issue here but our stuff is up to date. Fishy? Yeah, everything sounds strange.

If what they are saying is true you shouldn't be able to receive either? Or are they saying your cfd is valid but unless their integration with atf is working you cannot update ffl info? Could be true and as people renew everyone gets screwed.

See That's whats fishy! I am receiving just fine. Hell my FFL according to the site has been out of date for a year. Apparently the database to ship is different than the database to receive...yeah I don't get it either. I almost never ship INSIDE California so I didn't even know it was out of date.

I assume that anyone trying to sign up for the system for the first-time or renew are SOL right now. This could be a problem for out of state FFL's trying to ship to California. I have a hard enough time trying to talk new FFL's into signing up.

It sounds like they can't download the FFL database, so they can't confirm the FFL info. It might be time to contact a firearms attorney since they might love to go after them for that as they are harming your business.
