Quick Q - multiple item DROS?

I used to be 100% up on this, but honestly I'm feeling beaten down by CA Legislature...

IIRC one can put multiple items on a DROS, but limited to 1 handgun per 30 days unless exempted by COE, FFL03 etc.

The real basic question, can I DROS one (1) long gun and one (1) handgun on the same DROS form and only pay CA once?

I don't intend any additonal purchases in the next 30 days and I'm also not an exempt citizen.

Note: I don't mind paying the FFL, I mind paying extra taxes to this infringing state to exercise a constitutionally guaranteed right

As far as I know you are correct since I belive i have done this before multiple handguns is where you run in to wait time issues something I've also dealt with.

      Right.
      25+10+10 = $45 DROS max allowed.

        I don't know where you're getting $45 DROS.

DROS is ALWAYS $25. You might be confusing this with a PPT of 2 items where $10 + $10 are the transfer fees for item 1 and item 2.

OP, Yes you can combine items on a single DROS fee if the dealer you are at processes it correctly.

Incorrect. Each firearm is done as a separate DROS. In the past, you could DROS multiple non-handguns on a single DROS, but that stopped when they required the serial number of the firearm, which then also changed the fee structure as well. Also, in the past there was a discount for a second DROS.

No, each firearm has to be done on a separate DROS. You do pay CA once, but your real question is what do you have to pay CA.

Any number of DROS submitted at the same time is subject to only one $25 DROS fee. It does not matter the type of transactions. You could do multiple CA PPTs from different sellers and there is only one $25 DROS fee if you do it all at the same time. This also assumes that the FFL correctly submits the DROS (there is a link for additional DROS to be submitted) and knows what the actual charges should be.

I know what he asked which is why I responded the way I did since that is usually what people want to know.

each firearms has its own dros form but you are only charged one $25 fee for as many as you want in that transaction. if you look carefully at the bottom when you preview the dros and you click the little button that states something like : you understand what you are doing and you understand its not refundable" on the first one it shows a $25 fee but all subsequent one following the first one show a $0 amount. Each dros will produce its own dros number for each firearm but on the 4473 you will list them in the line item on 26-30 and again each dros# will be entered on 21b.
