On the Roster but with 15 rounds magazine.

If I want to buy a Beretta 92FS - on the Roster, from an out-of-state online store, let's say Arizona. But the their 92FS come with 15 rounds magazine. So what option do I have :

    (1) Ask the vender (in AZ) to swap the 15 rnds with 10 rnds magazine.
    (2) Ask the vender (in AZ) ship the pistol without the magazine, I will buy the 10 rounds magazine in California.
    (3) Will the CA FFL accept the pistol shipping in (1) and (2) above.

    Thanks You.

Most online place will likely will ship without the magazine. Doesn't hurt to ask them if they will swap out for 10 round.

Option 4 is the option I use:

          (4) Have it shipped to a CA FFL with a hicap mag permit, and have the FFL block the mag(s) for you.

But you better be 100% certain that the gun you are ordering is on the roster. There are a lot of variations to some guns, that are not on the roster.

Which Beretta 92 FS are you referring to? There are 11 "FS" models on the CA approved list and unless it does not meet the Calif. DOJ specific SKU (CA approved guns have different SKU's based on the 10 round mag. requirement) it can't enter CA by way of an out-of-state purchase.
At least distributers won't ship them. I'd beware of online stores that would sell them to CA.

It will probably be cheaper and obviously safer legal wise to just pay a little extra through a dealer here and get the 10 rd mags that will come with the gun that way. It's a lot less headache.

Thanks You, this is something new that I did not know. BTW, I look at the Roster and it show no SKU number for Beretta 92FS, this is very confusing. Kamala Harris should clear this up.

Admin delete this if it is not appropriate: I hear that she runs for US Senate this year, she can not solve the State issues how can she handle the nation issues.

Your local FFL Dealer can advise which models are Calif. approved.

That's what I would do also. OC Firearms has converted magazines into 10-rounds for me. There are many others. That's just one I know of personally.

Do recall that in the legislature now is a bill that would ban possession of mags that ever were 10+.

                            Not law yet ...

What distributors ?. The Ones I know will just put the 10rd mags in it or remove the hi caps and discount the gun
