    Buying glock frame no slide

Can I legally purchase a glock frame and ship it to a local ffl and dros it by bringing in a complete slide so the pistol is now complete? I ordered an polymer 80 frame but it seems to be a bigger headache then expected with sse2 laws, so I'm looking into getting an glock 17 gen 3 frame and using the slide I purchased.

Pretty sure receiver/frame purchases are exempt from the safe handling demo. Why would any rules apply to an 80% build? The whole idea is to keep .gov out of the process.

If it is a Glock factory frame, made in Austria, then in theory it could be done. You would have to find a FFL who is willing to do it, but there could be some concern with respect to manufacturing. One time should be ok.

I see Glock 17 Gen 3 frames going for $190 + $15 shipping. On top of this you have $40 transfer, DROS, FET and sales tax on a complete pistol. This frame will cost you roughly $365 after all is said and done

I have Glock 17s NIB in stock, buy the pistol for $565 OTD and I'll buy the frame off you for $225 making the cost to you $340.

Turing a frame/receiver into a pistol. When the FFL receives it they will log it in as a frame only. However on the 4473 it will be marked pistol. That's a paper trail showing manufacturing.

You cannot SSE a pistol that was once a semi automatic. Since Glock does not import just frames any Glock frame for sale was once a semi auto and therefor cannot be converted to comply with the current CA SSE laws.
