Warranty Return, New Serial Number, 1-30 Exempt?

Is a handgun being replaced due to warranty with new SN 1-30 exempt? If so, can someone send me link to PC?

Background: I have a customer that I transferred his warranty return back to him try to purchase a new handgun elsewhere and got 1-30 reject. The other dealer said it was because I did not process his Warranty Return as 1-30 exempt. I did not know they are 1-30 exempt and believe they are full of crap, but I could very well be wrong.

Checking if anyone has PC to support the exemption. I see this:

Which is old and the last bullet might be what the other FFL is thinking of, but I assumed that meant same serial number, not a different serial number since the person never owned this particular one yet.

Some comedy...so I reached out to the DOJ rep assigned to me about this question. She did confirm as ASD1 mentioned, but grilled me on the roster status of the firearm. I kept responding with "I don't understand why the roster status has anything to do with if it's exempt from 1-30 days".. after 3-4 emails and he was convinced it was roster exempt (it was an olympic exemption) she finally confirmed that it was not 1-30 exempt.

I still have no idea why she cared about roster status. I did say to her that I realize roster status/exempt status matters on a warranty return if the firearm is no longer on the roster and is not otherwise exempt is a no-go, but she proceeded to spend another 3 emails or so wanting to get down to it.

Strange line of questioning... in any case... my questions has been answered.

      Thanks
