    Kimber 2016 1911s

Anyone know for sure if the new 2016 models are on roster?

SKUs changed, for example Stainless Gold Match II 2016 = 3200355, previously was 3200009.

I'm assuming 2016 models are not since they have differences, but not sure if anyone has confirmation for sure either way?

kimber will be hit and miss and all of their guns will probably fall off next year.

For the same reasons most 1911 fell off this year.

Any of the 1911 that used mim parts will be gone soon.

last year the outfit that made all the mim parts was bought out buy a larger co (cant rember the name) their for all the parts are now made bay the "new CO"

so as fare as the state of CA is concerned the pistols have been "changed"

Kimber was one of the first CO's to hear about the buy out and bought "all" the parts available before the name change.

That is probably the reason you are seeing new #'s on the pistol

Take this with a grain of salt, but the agent assigned to me told me the new 2016s Kimbers are on roster:

It appears that Kimber is on the roster. I heard back from our enforcement and the transfer will be ok for the M1919 A4.

For the Kimber this is on the roster:
      Stainless Gold Match II / Stainless Steel | Pistol | 5 "| .45 ACP | 1/1/2017
It does not tell me if that is the 2016 model or the older model. That is why I was asking for clarification.
Disregard the subject line. I was also confirming the DROS options for the Browning I had in another thread.

        And this morning retracted:

        Good morning Anthony,

I have to apologize, the Kimber Stainless Gold Match II that is on the roster is NOT the same as the 2016 version. At this point in time the 2016 model is not approved for sale in CA for the public. Again, my apologies.

And how will an FFL reciving a Kimber from an out of state transfer know if is a 2016 or a 2015 (or older) version?

Check with Kimber if the SKU isn't on the box. They can always validate with SN.
            2015 version SKU/Mfg# is: 3200009
            2016 version SKU/Mfg# is: 3200355

Visually, they might be different, but the pictures on the Kimber website show the same stock photo.

Wow, there is no way that will cause any confusion...

Plenty of manufactures cause confusion. It's what led to the red font for Glock stating Gen4 and USA versions not on roster. It's also what led to the screenshots for Smith & Wesson with "A" and "B" stamped frames where the SKU on the box has no other identifying marks.

Another example is Sig Sauer for awhile only had the hi-cap sku of one of their pistols on the roster (it seems gone now or fixed).

Just a bunch more BS for us to wade through.
