    FFL handgun processing time?

    Hello,
I'm new here and I'm wondering what's the normal turn around time since you guys receive a handgun by another dealer for a FFL Transfer, then log it and call the end customer to start the DROS?
Reason I'm asking is because I had a handgun shipped to my LGS and tracking system showed it was delivered 5 days ago and my LGS is still telling me to wait because they haven't processed yet
Thanks in advance for your response

It depends. If it comes in, has all information and paperwork required it can be the same day. Maybe the next if we are overloaded like currently. Received 23 boxes ysterday.

CA FFLs require specific paperwork before we can get you in, we do not always get this information.

Also sometimes we get guns without who they are going to. I know you have the tracking number, can tell me what gun etc but unless I have an invoice from the FFL with your name on it I will not start the process.
    Just a normal guy

There is a timeframe in which it has to be logged in, which is the close of the next business day or 7 days (if there is paperwork with ALL of the required information). If there is missing information, such as the CFLC number, then it can not be transferred until that is received.

I tend to just send email as it is quicker and easier than having to call.

Unless there is an issue, 5 days is far too long, in my personal opinion.
