    C&R FFL plus COE

I have both. Do either or does the combination exempt me from either the 1-in-30 rule or the 10-day waiting period? My question if for non-C&R modern pistols.

Thanks in advance for your help.

No, having both does not exempt you from 1-in-30 rule or the 10-day waiting period

      Thanks for the clarification.

That's what I thought but I continue to see a few people posting online (internet experts) that the combination offers some relief from the standard rules.

At one time it did exempt you from the 1 in 30 day rule but DOJ denied that and
Stated that it only applies to C&R.

Per PC, you are still exempt from 1/30 regardless of what DOJ says... But DOJ will cancel the DROS because they want to feel good.

If you purchase a C&R, make sure you DROS the C&R second so the 1/30 exemption can be applied

From what I hear, for modern handguns, the CA DOJ will call the FFL and try to get the FFL to agree to cancel the DROS. If the FFL objects and tells the CA DOJ that it is valid, they won't cancel it and it will go through, but the FFL has to push back.
