    FFL Appreciation

While simply being a firearm owner in CA requires paralegal status to interpret the innumerable and contradicting laws, I know it has to be 10x harder for you dealers.

Just wanting to say, "Thank you for your service."
Just taking up space in (what is no longer) the second-worst small town in California.

I have often thought of starting a thread like this. Thanks for starting it OP and yes THANK YOU to all of the FFL holders out there!

My business is probably usually thanks enough but for those that go above and beyond I'll sometimes buy them pizza or give them a little something at Xmas.

You are most welcome. And thank you too. I have an 01 for gunsmithing/service but do not do transfers or sales. Even then the paperwork burden, along with the procedural minefields and additional expenses of insurance , etc. is quite a pain.
                Thanks for the understanding.

While running any business is hard the extra crucial paperwork and constant watch over the ever-changing complicated laws and the "helpful and easy to navigate" government machine that you have to deal with sometimes can not make it easy on any FFL.

My sincere thanks to all of you!

I started my business (again) 16 years ago with the soul idea that every law-abiding citizen in the State of California should have the right to acquire lawful firearms. Though frustrating and maddening at times I'm glad to have done my part in fulfilling that objective.
                      I/we appreciate your appreciation...

So, now it is ironic that the State whittles away at the right of its citizens to defend themselves from the possible oppression of their State.

                          I second that!

As a private FFL my biggest motivation is making sure people get to exercise their rights. Even if I don't make a penny, I will go the road less traveled to try and get that certain gun in their hands. Before my FFL I hated how difficult it was to get certain things. I refused to pay $125 for an FFL to sign a delivery on a lower.

Like I said, my biggest motivation is helping others excerse their rights in an already difficult hoop driven state

If only more people understood how difficult it is to operate as a firearms dealer in California maybe all the bull**** laws wouldn't be proposed/passed
