DOJ DROS Delay -- In Person?

Hey Guys

New shooter, and new to CalGuns--

I've had all my other questions answered in previous forums, but I've encountered a small problem without an answer that I can't find. I apologize, if this question has been asked somewhere else.

This seems like the forum to have an answer though.

I purchased a handgun, a Glock 19, and received a DROS Delay response. Although, my question is not directly about the response, or the legalities of the response.

When I called the DOJ, I heard the DOJ's message that they can't discuss the response over the phone. Can I go into the DOJ office in Los Angeles to find out, what the hold up is (what I can do to expedite the decision)?

Wait until the delay is confirmed to be a denial or underermined or approved. You'll get more clarity that way.

You cant do anything to expedite this delay. Read up on AB500 and see what that means for you.

If you're denied you will be sent a letter about a week after denial with more details. If you're undetermined or approved you won't receive anything telling why you were delayed

Some dealers will not deliver to a buyer whose status is determined to be "undetermined", which is what happens if the DOJ neither "approves" not "denies" you within the 30 days following initiating DROS. If you do not know, you may want to find out what it is.
