Ok that's exactly what I thought. I called the day after they signed for my package.
He says "did you get a phone call?"
I say no.
He asks my name and gun I got.
He then asks someone near him if they got it.
Comes back and tells me they may have gotten it, maybe not. It might have come in late the previous day. They will call me. That was Thursday morning.
So I waited all day, no call. I wait all day today, nothing.
I think I'll just show up tomorrow.Comment

If your tracking number shows the shop signed for it go start your paperwork.
Most of us get a lot of deliveries everyday. I don't have time to call everyone. I tell everyone to track their packages then come in when it's delivered. Even worse, some places don't enclose contact information with shipments. You, you, and you: Panic. The rest of you, come with me.

Not all shippers include all of the information to contact the buyer. Buds does not give out the email address, which is the easy way to contact people. Others make it very difficult and some don't have any information.Kemasa.
False signature edited by Paul: Banned from the FFL forum due to being rude and insulting. Doing this continues his abuse.

We try to contact all of our shipments within 24 hours of receipt of the firearm. Sometimes this carries over another day as the sheer volume of firearms received precludes us from getting them all checked in at one sitting. That being said, email is the only way we contact our customers. We also expect our customers to be our partner in the transfer and let us know that it is coming our way. This is done 100% via email so there is a written record of the communication. This works extremely well as then we have a chance to communicate the process of transfer with each customer ,letting them know what to expect at the transfer appointment.
When we get one in blind, we usually have no way of contacting the customer unless a phone number or email address is sent by the seller. So these sometimes sit longer.
Our advice is to communicate with your dealer before your gun arrives to let them know it's coming and to understand how they will communicate with you that the gun has arrived and next steps. That way you are comfortable with the time frames given.
Lastly, make sure you give your dealer some room to run their business by allowing a reasonable amount of time AFTER your gun has arrived to log it in, make sure that it's legal, hasn't been damaged and communicate with you. The definition of "reasonable amount of time" should be established by you and them mutually.
Hope this helps.sigpic

That's some good info, thanks. I was in contact with both FFL prior to purchase but I didn't confirm the step after signing for package. No big deal, I've started the paper work and I can see why they have excellent ratings. I must have just misunderstood something. They were deservedly busy, so I can respect all that. I will definitely do more business with them. Friendly and straight shooters.Comment
