    Dual Caliber AR pistol

    Hello I have a ar pistol 5.56 just wondering if I want to change it to a 300 blackout upper do I have to dros as 300 or can I have both even if my register dros shows 5.56

    DROS as "Multi" if that is how the lower is marked

      Yes my lower shows multi caliber so do I have go back and dros as multi or 300 my original dros is 5.56

        It doesn't make a bit of difference how it is DROSed. The same applies for Glocks that can go from 9mm to 40, to 10mm to .357 sig to .22lr. The only time it could be an issue is on a CCW. Some IAs will only allow a firearm to be put on a permit the way it is "registered".
