    Off roster?

Had a potential customer come in today looking for a .380. I explained to him the roster and after some discussion he said he wanted a S&W Bodyguard with the CTC laser. I explained to him it was not on the roster. He said the other gun shop had one NIB in stock and would sell it to him.

He is retired military but not a LEO. I would love to know the legal way to do this.

I would chalk that up to a gun customer that doesn't know what he's talking about. Chances are the other store either didn't have what he thought, or it was blue labeled or something.

If, according to the OP, it was NIB it cant be consignment. Because even if unused would not be NIB.

Well it could be new and in the box wouldn't that be considered nib if unfired but drosed.

Customer said it was a new bodyguard, because he wanted to know why I didn't stock it. This is not the first I have heard of local shops saying this. Had a regular buy a firearm from a shop who did the transaction as a PPT.

I know a few LEO owned shops that do this regularly. Good way to kiss your license goodbye.

I know shops that were doing Glock 42 as C&R

That is what I was thinking. I like what I do and hope to be around for a while.
