Defective Gun From Manufacture... What Do You Do?

    Asking other FFLs their opinion....

If a customer were to purchase a firearm that was defective from the manufacturer, sent it back for repair and it still comes back defective, what would you do or have you done in this scenario if the customer wants a refund or exchange?

Id ask the distributor you bought it from what their policy is. One off hand I know of has a lifetime warranty policy through them. But more than likely is call the manufacture

Was the firearm inventory? If so 100% refund, including DROS.

We had a few people buy I.O. AKs and had issues, we refunded them 100% and took back the inventory. All were used.

We will deal with the manufacturer, that's our job.

Most distributors I've dealt with give little to no trouble in giving you an RA and shipping it back... where'd it come from?
