"Assault Weapon" with bolt, trigger removed.

Customer in Nevada wants to ship a non-Calif compliant IWI Tavor for some external mods. He can ship it without Bolt Carrier Group and Fire Control Group.

Would this be OK? I am not an AW FFL.

    THANK YOU for any info.

    NO
It would still be a AW.

Must be over 30" long and have a Non Detachable mag.

All it needs is a raddlock mag lock installed and an extended flash hider. Takes under 10 minutes. I have extras and can ship to him if he wants to install them.
He just needs a small punch, hammer, and 3/4" wrench.

With CADOJ's incompetence and their wild from the hip interpretations on what is and isn't an "assault weapon" I wouldn't take a risk on anything in California pertaining to those items.

I know for a fact that just a couple CADOJ BOF enforcement agents actually hold CURRENT armory certifications on weapon systems considered to be assault weapons, shows what experts they really are.

They should just carry a copy of the CALGUNS Assault Weapon flowchart with them at all times, but they won't because they don't listen to anyone including the ATF, it would at least give them something VALID to reference instead of their toilet paper regulations that don't match up with the actual penal code.

Here is a link they might find useful if they are reading this:

Needs the barrel wrench for that and some ffls want receivers completely stripped. Too many parts to remove when it takes 5 minutes to convert it.
