    out of state PPT?

I've searched and can not find the answer so...
I purchased a rifle from a seller in Texas on gunbroker
THe seller has shipped to my local FFL
My local FFL has received the gun but has stated he cant complete the process until the seller provides him a photo copy of the drivers license.

    Is this correct?

The seller does not want toprovide this information
Any help would be greatly appreciated

FFLs rules - he has to document the seller info, and something 'official' is the safe thing to have on file.

And, "PPT" in California is a separate 'thing' from what the rest of the world means. CA implements PPT as only CA residents, because the DROS software accepts only CA ID.

What you describe is an 'interstate transfer, TX to CA'.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!

If the FFL has the information on the seller, or actually not, he can do the transfer, but he may choose not to because of having to deal with it. There are many FFLs who won't accept shipments from non-FFLs due to problems getting the information like this.

Personally, I won't get out my info until I get what I need. There are parts of the ID which can be blanked out, the main thing is to show who it is and that it is a valid ID.

As said, it is not a PPT.

We have on our contract that we start charging storage after the 30 days after your DROS was submitted. We've only had to enforce this a few times and use it to ensure that everyone picks their stuff up. Plus if we remember we will try and call customers at the last day to make sure they come in. Ive also had the indefinite delays pre AB500 that would sit forever without being charged a cent.

Any concerns that the seller stole the gun, perhaps used it in a crime, and is now sending it to your ffl and that is why he does not want to provide a copy of his DL
