    Unknown Long Gun

I hadn't encountered this before. I have a customer who wants to purchase a long gun on line and have me do the transfer. It's made by Radical Firearms - an apparently new outfit that is not on the drop-down list of makes on the DROS long gun sale form. There are hundreds of others, from A to Z but not this one. There isn't an "other" option for that space or provision to enter it manually. It appears to meet the definition of a legal firearm and the manufacturer says it's approved. Can I do a transfer on it? DOJ is closed today for Veterans Day so I can't call and ask them but I need to let my customer know if I can do it. I'd appreciate some thoughts on it.

For the 4 years we did business in CA we always used "USA" or "Custom" and put the manufacturer in the comments section.

        What he said.

If there is any doubt, put it in the comments. For example, the BATF said that the dash is part of the serial number for Ruger firearms, but the CA DOJ DES does not allow the dash to be entered, so since the DROS say that you are signing it under penalty of perjury, I always enter the correct, official serial number in the comments section.
