DES and Daylight Savings Time Change

Anybody else having trouble delivering guns in the DES? We have a DROS that says earliest delivery date 11-2-2015 at 11:45. We went to deliver it and it wouldn't let us. DES helpline said go a head and deliver it, note the time and sign it on the Pending form. Then after an hour go ahead and reprint the Delivered gun form and keep it with the DROS packet.

Just letting you all know problems we are experiencing today and most likely for the next 28 days potentially.

just did one and it went fine but it was 1.5 hr later then the dros said would work (241.5HR's)

so it could be that you are trying at less then 240 hr's

Well the law states a 240 hour waiting period. With our current DLS time change we should deliver 1 hour before the time stamped dros time. EX a DROS submitted at 10am can be delivered at 9 am because our time went from 2:00 am on Sunday am to 1:00 am Sunday. The 240 hour wait is reflected on the DROS and it shows as correct on all our DROS submissions we have done. This is just one of those cases where the customer came in at exactly the 240 hour mark plus 15 minutes to pick up his firearm. I doubt we will encounter this problem on every dros pickup we get, just the eager beavers who are here right at their 240 hour mark.

We had a BIG issue with this last year. We had people denied because of 1in30 violations because the DES system did not take into account the time change.

We spent hours on the phone with them as we had about a dozen people denied but they ended up putting them all in delay and then approving them.
