Storing personal and Business owned firearms together

is there any reason not to store my personal and business firearms together. i have nothing illegal in my safe. but i can't see buying abutter $1500-2000 safe just for storing a couple of guns at a time. i was told that the DOJ wants to search safes in their entirety but does any one recommend against it or for it?

thought so. i don't feel comfortable doing it, is there anything that i have to have a certain size or options, i just don't need another $1500 safe for two-three guns at a time

I was told to just clearly mark my "personal" guns that are in the business safe at the office.

I ran out of room at home :| plus some of my personal guns are featureless ones which I leave here for customers to feel the different grip types (FRS, Grip Wrap, Hammerhead, Hammerhead v2 whatever the name will be).

I have a case in the shop of personal firearms and a few in the safe room. The case is clearly marked personal, and the guns in the safe room are individually clearly marked personal and stored on a different shelf.

Mark each one with a hang tag saying "Personal Property" and "Not For Sale" and you will meet the federal requirements for personal guns in your licensed area. They do not "want a Logbook". If you work out of your home and your licensed area is specified, like a garage or outbuilding, then personal firearms in other parts of the home do not need to be marked as such.
I am exempt from CA DOJ as a transferring dealer so I do not know their requirements.

I'm just trying to decide what size and if I really need another safe. I guess if I get it and need room for personal I can just use tags to seperate personal from business.
