    DWP Application

Sent my packet in with my CLEO letters, letters from manufacturers and all the other documents. Now playing the waiting game. I've left a couple messages with the analyst who is said to have my packet and I've received no response.

Question 1- Is there anything out there that gives them an obligation to deny or issue these permits within a given time? I.E. 30 days.

Questions 2- Is there any point to applying for the federal licenses for NFA items at this point? Or did most folks wait until the state licenses were issued?

    Thanks again Calguns.

We applied 3x, got denied 3x. Received a basic letter months after each submission saying we did not meet the requirements.

did they ever tell you what the requirements you needed to meet were. interested because i have an out of state SO contact that wants me to get their swat SBRs and Breach guns but they fall under the DWP according to a few people i talk to and a couple distributors. just wondering if i need to find a out of state guy to go through as a middle man to do the transaction.

Why not have your vendor drop ship it to the agency? It saves time and reduces risk of losing it shipping. But if you need an SOT to receive it for you, and reship it, we can do that.

Most LE departments buy direct their is no way for a LGS to be price competitive.

Some manufactures with only sell direct to LE. ie Glock will not let you arm a LE DEPO they must go thru Glock to get the pricing.

Is this a new regulation or has this always been the case? Might not bother applying for DWP if I can't neuter the naughty rifles.
