    delay in approving transfer...

Did a ppt 8 days ago, dealer called me today telling me that transaction is 'delayed" for the Tuesday pick up. ( they're closed Monday )

Did many PPTs in the past, this is the first time my transaction is delayed...

Can someone give me any insight ?

Can you expand on that ? Is it because of the Oregon fiasco or are they running behind ?

They don't get to delay you just because "they're behind". There's something in your background that they feel is questionable and/or unresolved and needs further investigation. If there is no decision within 30 days of the DROS, then there is no law preventing the FFL from releasing the gun to you. However, it is the FFL's choice whether or not to do so. Find out what his policy is.

There really isn't anything you can do to speed this up either.

Nothing your FFL can do, it is not their choice. They'll contact you when they get the all clear or 30 days.
