I'm looking to get either a 460 or 500 magnum, but am having a tough time finding then on the used market. Is there anywhere to order one of the mythical CA roster smiths? I can't find any that have the "A" at the end of the SKU. Though I guess the 6.5inch 50p magnum doesn't need the "A".
I'm in a rural part of Northern California (just south of Chico), so I have a limited amount of ffls.

Call your FFL. I know when I want one I have my rep double check that the gun they pick has the A (or b) stamp in the firearm. It's a pain but it keeps me from getting firearms I can't sell. I have noticed that some of the guns have not had the A marked on the box but the revolver does have the stamp. As time is going on I am seeing this less and less.

We can convert it to SAE and ship it to your ffl so it is exempt.

The longer I research, it seems like the SAE method may be the one of least resistance. How much do you charge baboosh?
