How does a GSSF/blue label purchase work?

In late June, I get my GSSF coupon and go to my Glock Blue Label LGS (early July) to order a G34 gen 3. They said it would take 4-8 weeks and I paid the full amount.

Six weeks go by and I call them to see what the status is. Apparently they ordered a 34 gen 4. I told them that I cannot purchase that handgun. They said it'll take another 4-8 weeks for the special orders.

Is this how blue label is supposed to work? All only special orders that take weeks to arrive?

    Thanks!

Its been my findings as a dealer that the Blue Label Stuff just shows up when it shows up. No notice, nothing. I've had guns come in from the program and call the customer and they've told me its taken up to 6 months to get their guns.

It is a terrible program for dealers as they make next to nothing on the gun and have to buy it either from the worst distributor on the planet or other shops that act as distributors but skim all the best products for themselves.

Go to LC Action - Honestly on the coupons if you figure the drive and the hassle it will be easier and cheaper for you to just buy one at the local store.

That's too bad, I was thinking of getting my money back and going to you guys.

I guess LC Action is next if I don't hear back from my LGS in November...
