    C & R "1 in 30" - is it back?

Last year, coincidentally as the clock counted down on SSE of "off roster" semi auto pistols, CA DOJ put forth the "C & R + CA COE = no '1 in 30' restriction" exemption on handguns sold from dealer stock, to include non-C & R on roster handguns, was not valid. That is, those holding both couldn't buy two (or more) non-C & R handguns from dealer stock in 30 days. Does anyone have insight as to whether the exemption is returned, DOJ has changed their mind, or does anyone know with a degree of certainty that CA residents with that combination of licenses can now do more than "1 in 30" - or if the restriction is still in place?

What is DOJ telling dealers these days?

I have not been notified of any change in DOJ's position that C&R is not 1 in 30 exempt for non C&R handguns.

Although I haven't tried since my last customer got denied about 4 months ago.

I have heard from other FFL that have submitted using the exemption that the CA DOJ has called and tried to get them to agree to cancelling the DROS and when the FFL said that it was legal and would not agree, the CA DOJ gave up and went away. YMMV.
