the PC says "any firearm"
27555. (a) (1) Commencing July 1, 2008, a person who is licensed
pursuant to Chapter 44 (commencing with Section 921) of Title 18 of
the United States Code may not sell, deliver, or transfer a firearm
to a person in California who is licensed pursuant to Chapter 44
(commencing with Section 921) of Title 18 of the United States Code
unless, prior to delivery, the person intending to sell, deliver, or
transfer the firearm obtains a verification number via the Internet
for the intended sale, delivery, or transfer, from the Department of
Justice.
what NFA items would not fit under those options that you could have transfered in? AOWs would be "handguns", silencers would be exempt I think. yes, with the right DW permit, there might be some other types that don't fit under the CADOJ categories.Jack
Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

Hand grenades and many other DD's would be not fit into those two categories yet, with a CA DD permit, they can be legally owned in CA.the PC says "any firearm"

yah, I know, but I was framing the question more directly to what Jamie can get transferred to him.
the federal definition of firearm does include silencers but I looked through the CA definition of "firearm" and don't see where it would apply to silencers which would trigger CFLC.
16520. (a) As used in this part, "firearm" means a device, designed
to be used as a weapon, from which is expelled through a barrel, a
projectile by the force of an explosion or other form of combustion.
none of the rest of 16520 seems to apply.Jack
