    Pistol without barrel

I am doing a PPT on a revolver. The seller removed the barrel in anticipation of adding a longer one but never did so it is barreless.

How do I process the DROS when it asks for the barrel length.

    THANKS for any guidance.

Without a barrel, that firearm is just a frame. It should be logged in as such and DROS'ed as such.

I think your going to have issues with a modification to a firearm that has been dros'd as a receiver, long gun when you add the barrel. To the best of my knowledge, when you add the barrel, you will have created a "short barrel rifle."

Possibly wrong as not a lawyer or overly knowledgeable about subject but recently went through issue with buying a pistol frame without slide or barrel (No joy for my purchase).

Possibly since PPT, it will stand litmus and not go down same path as I faced.

Thanks for clarifying. So it is no good to buy an incomplete pistol but it is ok to buy a partially assembled revolver.

            Cali laws regarding firearms suck.

If it is a PPT, then the roster does not apply and handgun frames can be transferred. It makes no difference if it is a pistol or revolver.
