    COE renewal

Any idea how long this takes, we sent my renewal back as soon as we got it, but that wasn't that long ago and mine is set to expire.

This year everything went quick, ~2 weeks. Last year I sent it in early and waited When I called I was told they do them by expiration date order. I got it in time but total time was about a month.

You can try checking if they'll email you a copy. I was able to do that for my CFD because the paper copy got lost somewhere. I have the contact I use for that. PM if you want to ping her and I'll give you email address. Not sure if she handles COE but I suppose it can't hurt to ask.

Baboosh, I called and spoke with DOJ. They said if they have received your renewal but haven't issued it yet you will still be ok for 30 days after it expires. So I'm not tripping on it. She said not to worry I'm good to go.

Hopefully that's true. I started panicking because of the thread here where a guy didn't know his renewal did not go through and then everything went to hell on him.. i wanted the paper copy to be 100% sure and not risk even the extra 30 days only to find out there was an issue after that time has lapsed.

Yea, UG I hear that and I hope the person who I spoke with at DOJ wasn't just giving me the run around. I have no reason to believe that was the case. I called and explained our situation in detailed message. Within 3 hours I got a call back, missed her call but she left a very polite and detailed message explaining that she has my renewal and not to worry about the DES not working or kicking me offline for COE renewal. She said specifically we had 30 days after expiration of COE before anything like this happens.

I send my renewal back to DOJ as soon as I got it, but that was only 30 days before it was set to expire. I started calling DOJ to ask about this well before it became an issue. It seems to me that they aren't to worried about it, and so Ill wait and see. If I get a call Sunday am because our DROS is not working then we will know that the DOJ gave me some FUD big time.

UPDATE, got it in the mail yesterday. So it takes about 6 weeks everyone. Plan accordingly.
