    DROS printouts

Hey Guys, If I misplace my DROS forms, or want copies of misplaced ones can any FFL print out every form I've ever had submitted for me? Maybe for a fee, but is it possible?

It's very easy on the new DES system that started in 2014.

Ask them to email you them.

Any FFL? No, only the one who submitted them. I am not sure of how long they are retained in the system, but it seems pretty long, maybe "forever".

Oops I missed that part. Sorry yes it has to be the FFL you did the DROS at.

Can you email these? Because I seem to remember reading that you cant give out seller info to buyer in a PPT and vice-versa. If you were to re-print the approval letter in the DROS would it not have the sellers information on it? Also, what risk would one be taking emailing a DROS page if my customer just calls requesting it? How would we know we are not sending confidential information to a third party?

We use PDF Printer. Select "Print this DROS for Buyer" and select PDF Printer and it makes it a PDF.

When people have asked us we just go in the system and pull up their DROS record and ask them to verify their CADL #.

Aww bummer! I was hoping with all this computer junk it would be possible. Any chance of DOJ being able to do this?
Actually, just the thought of them printing 2 copies of each and making their own little packet

You can get the list from DOJ of all your firearms, but not DROS copies.

Also, you can only get copies for this way for purchases after 1/1/2014. Dealers cannot print out forms from the old system. They'd have to rummage through their paperwork to get any. If your purchase is older then 3 years it's also likely the FFL has shredded it and no more paper records exist.

Ok, so if I request a DOJ list, they will provide Firearm description and Serial numbers?
