FSC Instructor + COE

Is it true that all FSC Instructors will now be required to have a COE???

One of the FSC Instructors here got an email 2 days ago saying that they now need to have a COE in order to continue with their FSC Instructors credentials. He has until July 1st to get his COE!!!

Did anyone else miss this memo? When did this happen?

Certified Instructor applicants must have
a valid Certificate of Eligibility (COE)maintains a valid COE. To remain valid, a COE must be renewed annually.

I saw that notification on the FSC log in. I'd like to know how they slipped that in.

It was in the emergency regulations that the OAL accepted.

Which dealer is gonna be the first to challenge this.... Turners perhaps??? The big box stores are gonna have some issues here since they tend to go thru employees.

It was made clear to me last year that any new instructor would be required to have a COE on or after the first of this year and all instructors who received their certs prior to that had until this June to get a COE. I've opted to let mine expire for now.

I was made aware and took take of all that early this year.

Luckily my HSC instructor card expired this year and was told I needed to get a COE before this notice. The COE lady told me I was approved, just waiting for it to get mailed to me.

They were actually vey surprisingly quick to issue the COE. We had them in about a week!

Thanks for the heads up. I did notice that they let us get logged in without it.
